Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites to a weekly evening of music.  Each program begins at 5PM with 1-1/2 hours of an open mic format showcase of local musicians.  The concert follows at 7PM. 

A suggested donation of $5 per vehicle/campsite/cabin will go directly to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park to be used to benefit the park's resource management projects and interpretive programs.

Park entrance fees will be waived to participants.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is located in Santa Rosa Beach, 10 miles east of Destin, FL.  Take I-10 to Exit 85 (Defuniak Springs) and follow U.S. Highway 331 south. Travel 27 miles to U.S. Highway 98. Turn right and travel approximately five miles west to scenic Highway 30A. Turn left and go one quarter mile to the entrance on the right.

Yoga Classes in the Gardens - Every Tuesday and Thursday Evening in August

Interested in learning yoga?  Want to improve your physical conditioning?

Come join the classes set in beautiful Ravine Gardens State Park every Tuesday and Thursday evening in August.   

All sessions are open to all interested parties.  is sponsoring yoga classes at the park every Tuesdays and Thursdays in the month of August . 

The classes are taught by certified yoga instructor Carol Cartwright.  Wear loose fitting clothing and bring a mat or towel to lie on during sessions.

The charge for each class is $5.00, or $3.00  with an Annual Pass (this includes your park entrance fee.)

Ravine Gardens State Park is located in Palatka, Florida.   From US17/SR100, turn south onto Moseley Avenue, then turn east onto Twigg Street.

B.E. Easy Music and Arts Festival  – Saturday, August 31st
Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The second annual B.E. Easy Music and Arts Festival will feature both jam band and folk music artists like The Funky Nuggets, Cope, Crazy Fingers and Lucky Costello.

Live paintings and handmade crafts will be shown and offered throughout the event.

Proceeds from the event will go to the B.E. Easy Scholarship Fund, helping youth struggling with addiction issues.

Anastasia Dogs and Jam – Saturday, August 31st

The Friends of Anastasia will be hosting a Dogs and Jam event right outside of Island Beach Grill.

Come and enjoy free, freshly grilled hot dogs with all the fixings.  Jam out with the musically inclined. Don’t know how to play an instrument?  No worries!  We just need you to sing, hum, or clap along!

Dogs are free, drinks are a $1 donation.

You may also want to use this opportunity to join the Friends of Anastasia and help support the park.

Anastasia is located 1.5 miles north of State Road 312 on State Road A1A, less than 5 miles south of St. Augustine.

From I-95 take exit 311. Go east on State Road 207. Turn right on State Road 312. Turn left on A1A. Travel approx. 1.5 miles north to main park entrance. Turn right after The Surf Station.

From US-1 turn east onto State Road 312. Turn north (left) on A1A. Travel approx 1.5 miles north to main park entrance. Turn right after The Surf Station.

Protection’s Ochlockonee River State Park and the Tallahassee Area Geocachers have put together an afternoon of geo-seeking and outdoor education.   This event is perfect for people of all ages who like to be outside.

Come explore wild and scenic Ochlockonee River State Park while learning about this family-friendly outdoor Geocaching activity.  There will be plenty of things to do whether you’re new to geocaching or consider yourself a pro.  Experienced geo-seekers will find new and challenging caches placed for the event.

Ochlockonee River State Park is located four miles south of Sopchoppy on U.S. 319.

This nostalgic show will take you back to the early years of Weeki Wachee Springs by the ladies who created the mermaid magic.

The former mermaid show includes performers representing the decades from the 40's to the 70's. 

Don't miss this magical performance by this special group of ladies.

Bring the whole family to the movie in the park! 

This Sunday, the Barnacle “Up Past Bedtime outdoor movie” will be An American Tail—the story of a young Russian mouse searching for his family and trying to survive in a new country.

The gate opens at 7 p.m., and the movie begins at 8. Last entry is at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for ages 6 and up, $3 for ages 2 to 5, and free for kids under 2.

Bring your chairs, coolers, blankets, and flashlights.  Modest pajamas are encouraged for the children.  No pets are allowed.

The Barnacle is located in Coconut Grove (Miami) at 3485 Main Highway.

License-Free Saltwater Fishing Day – Sunday, September 1st
